Grants: A Primer

Grants from foundations and corporate entities can be an integral part of school fundraising. In this session, we'll review at a very high-level, the different types of grants, things to know before applying for grants, and what a standard grant process looks like.
Bevin Kennedy, Cabinet Secretary, Development and Communications, Diocese of Manchester

As Cabinet Secretary for Development and Communications for the Diocese of Manchester, Bevin provides leadership for fundraising, stewardship, and communications to parishes, schools, and other Catholic organizations throughout the state of New Hampshire.

Bevin comes to the diocese from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in Washington, D.C., where for five years she served as Assistant Director of Promotions for National Collections. At USCCB, she primarily managed marketing and development for eight national appeals. Prior to that role she worked in communications and relationship management for the Public Relations Journal, Boston University, and the Council of Chief State School Officers in Washington, D.C. She earned an M.S. in Public Relations at Boston University, and holds a B.A. in Politics from Ithaca College. She is a native of the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire.
